All the qualities for a predator of modest size, 3 to 4 meters, are combined in this dinosaur. A slender body with long, slender legs, not forgetting the front legs with three clawed fingers ending in enormous claws.

Its jaws were filled with long, sharp teeth, which allowed it to bite into the flesh of animals.

The large claw on its hind legs measured 13 cm. Deinonychus and its close relatives like Velociraptor walked only on the third and fourth toe.

Thanks to its special muscles, the paw and toes could fold in a flash. VELOCIRAPTOR Velociraptor was a genus of small, bipedal, carnivorous, feathered dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period, between 80 and 70 million years BCE.

His name means “agile thief”. The Velociraptor is distinguished from the others by its very narrow and flattened head.

On the other hand, the volume of its brain is relatively large in proportion to its size.

Velociraptor had powerful jaws with around 80 sharp teeth. It measured, from head to tail, approximately 2 meters and weighed around 15 kilograms.

The morphology of the velociraptor suggests that it had an excellent top speed, reaching 60 km/h, and that it had three-dimensional vision.   DROMAEOSAURUS Discovered in 1914, near the Red Deer River, in Canada, the dinosaur Dromaeosaurus is a close relative of Deinonychus, they are part of the same family. It had the same enormous claw that was folded back and curved forward, a characteristic specific to Dromaeosaurids, used to pierce the skin of their prey.

Dromaeosaurus, already a small, fast hunter, must have frightened certain small dinosaurs such as Parksosaurus. But he was also a gregarious hunter.

Thus, he could hunt the large Ceratopsian dinosaurs, like Centrosaurus, which inhabited Alberta at the time.
