Porcelain figurine Maggie, girl with hat inspired by 20th century cinema

Maggie is part of a collection inspired by the atmospheres of the mid-twentieth century and the glamor of the film stars of that period. This porcelain figurine takes its name from the protagonist of the film "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and her aesthetics recall the determination of this character: she wears a skirt with a marked green and white geometric texture, topped by a beige bustier with a wide lapel matching the skirt, with a wide “V” neckline on the back. To complete it, she put on a belt with leather laces and shoes with crossed ribbons. But what most characterizes this figure is the fascinator-style hat, worn as appropriate very sideways and surrounded by a soft hairstyle with light backcombing on the neck.  Maggie appears standing, leaning on a beautiful dark burgundy table. One hand on his hip and the other arm limply left behind, he seems to be looking around while deciding who to talk to this time.    Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the creation of each individual piece and in the production technique which is unmatched and which makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain, on which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the body of the statue. The hair styles are also handmade from time to time. On the "bisque" terracotta the faces, clothes and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece finally undergoes a further firing called "third fire". Any further details are applied at this point to the finished piece.
