Porcelain figure depicting a little girl sitting on a gray armchair. She wears a light blue dress with white floral decorations in relief, over a blouse with a collar and puffed sleeves and a cream-coloured petticoat, a pair of blue shoes and wears her hair tied in two high pigtails, stopped by orange pom poms. She sits composed, playing with her hands, while looking up, hoping that her little brother Piero will come and play with her. Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the creation of each individual piece and in the production technique which is unmatched and which makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain, on which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the body of the statue. The hair styles are also handmade from time to time. On the "bisque" terracotta the faces, clothes and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece finally undergoes a further firing called "third fire". Any further details such as violin strings or wasp stands are applied at this point to the finished piece.
