Beauty and the Beast porcelain figurines

Porcelain figures depicting Beauty from the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast.    The eldest wears a dress with a wide skirt and puffed sleeves in an intense light blue, decorated with floral motifs, and a yellow bodice. She wears her hair gathered at the back of her neck and is lying on her side, with her head resting on one hand, while with the other she holds a book on which a red rose rests. The youngest wears a dress with a deep blue skirt and sleeves, decorated with floral motifs, and a yellow bodice. She wears her hair loose to the side and is lying with her torso resting on two soft purple pillows, with her favorite book next to her and a red rose on it. Note on the collection Every detail of the FIABE collection has been studied based on drawings from different period editions of traditional fairy tales, looking for the elements common to most and translating them into the form seen here. Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the creation of each individual piece and in the production technique which is unmatched and which makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain, on which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the body of the statue. The hair styles are also handmade from time to time. On the "bisque" terracotta the faces, clothes and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece finally undergoes a further firing called "third fire". Any further details such as violin strings or wasp stands are applied at this point to the finished piece.
