Porcelain zodiac figurines: Capricorn

Capricorn according to the Zodiac Capricorn ushers in the winter season, the most difficult time of the year. For this reason, Capricorn never gives up, but with great internal discipline and great practical sense, it manages to express its strength and vitality to the maximum. The sign is therefore associated with a tenacious, stubborn personality, determined to achieve the goal. Commonly considered ambitious, in reality the important thing is to do things with a precise and perhaps long-term purpose, as long as there is a purpose and it is very clear: doing things at random is unacceptable. Of few words, sometimes rude or hasty, he prefers to withdraw into solitude and not expose himself emotionally: letting himself be overwhelmed by emotions is the most destabilizing experience, because it puts at risk the very strong inhibitory brakes that are his unconscious tool for survival. Sober and thoughtful, he doesn't like to waste time, so he works with maximum efficiency, not wasting resources and not paying too much attention to superficial details. The Capricorn of Sibania Capricorn is a methodical and tenacious sign and its pose reflects its characteristics: the torso is stretched forward in the tension of the movement, the left arm and legs instead recall the traditional image of the sign, with the tail on the side and the paw ready to take the step. The shape of the dress is complex but rational: the bustier is embellished with a colorful detail and the skirt has two appendages to recall the tail of the symbol. The hairstyle instead recalls the goat's horns in the curls that extend over the head, while the smooth and tidy locks on the shoulders reflect its rationality. The colors associated with the sign are black and very dark green, also the color of the eyes, while the black hair recalls the winter period. Like the other Earth signs, Capricorn does not sport lace but relies on a very strong print that defines its figure. The symbol of the sign is taken from the bodice, which retraces the line in front and in the lateral play. Finally, the base is green, to remind us of belonging to the Earth element. Sibania's mini Capricorn Capricorn is methodical and tenacious, which is why its torso is stretched forward, while the limbs recall the iconography of the sign, with the tail to the side and the paw ready to take the step. Its colors are black and dark green, visible in the eyes, in the hair and on the dress, underlined by a very strong print, as for the other signs of the Earth element. Finally, the base is also green, with the sign symbol marked on the side. Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the creation of each individual piece and in the production technique which is unmatched and which makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain, on which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the body of the statue. The hair styles are also handmade from time to time. On the "bisque" terracotta the faces, clothes and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece finally undergoes a further firing called "third fire". Any further details such as violin strings or wasp stands are applied at this point to the finished piece.
