•50x30 cm in size • Robust cover made of raffia, filled to the brim with cotton and coconut fibers • Perfect as a decorative eye-catcher on a bed or sofa • lovingly packaged plastic-free • 100% handmade and fair trade Our Sanur raffia cushion is all about creating a cozy feeling in your four walls.   Its classic rectangular shape is perfectly complemented by the eye-catching bobbles.   Thanks to the natural, simple color, the cushion fits into any interior style, but looks particularly good when you combine it with other accessories and furniture in boho style.    Sanur is made using the elaborate needle knotting technique.   However, it takes a lot of time and dexterity to make the pom-poms: To do this, the raffia fibers are first cut into tiny strips and then knotted in hundreds to form pom-poms.   The cushion is extra plumply filled with locally sourced cotton and coconut fiber and therefore retains its shape over the long term. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Mass weight: Length x width: 50x30 cm Weight: 1.20kg Our products are artfully crafted unique pieces.   Due to hand manufacturing and natural variations in materials, they may vary slightly in size, color and shape. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Main material: Raffia Our pillows are made from plant fibers.   They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.    Raffia (Corypha utan) occurs naturally in the steppe and forest areas of Southeast Asia.   The plant renews its leaves about every two years and sheds the old ones, which are then collected by people, dried in the sun for a few days to weeks, depending on the desired degree of browning, and processed into woven goods.   The relative rarity and the higher processing effort make this material slightly more expensive compared to other plant fibers.   While it is hardly known here in Europe, the material has proven itself among the local population in Southeast Asia in the form of all sorts of everyday objects and is very popular due to its pleasantly soft, yet robust texture.    Filling: cotton & coconut fiber -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Place of production: This pillow is handmade in Java, Indonesia.   When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions.   Only adult and experienced artisans work in the companies from which we purchase our goods.   No harmful chemicals are used during production.   Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process hardly produces any greenhouse gas emissions.   We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
