Originally designed to store bread (or khobz in Moroccan), these baskets are handwoven from coils of palm leaves and wrapped in wool in fantastical geometric designs and simple linear stripes. Each basket is unique, decorative & practical and specially selected by or designed by SOUK in the CITY. We handpick each of the baskets ourselves. Because these baskets are made by hand and are mostly vintage, they may have some minor irregularities and signs of use and age. We think that this gives it that beautiful vintage character. These pictures are examples of the kind of baskets in this batch. However, each piece is unique in size, shape, pattern and color and so each delivery is different.
