We use sorting of selected quality from the Baltic Sea. Because of its natural robustness, seagrass has been used for centuries for upholstery and roofing. It is very durable and fungus resistant. Here it is handpicked, soaked in natural rubber milk, dried and heated. With the rubber impregnation, it meets today's standards in the living and sleeping area. Seagrass fillings are therefore dust-free and the ruffled structure and elasticity of the grass are strengthened and stabilized. Seagrass with rubber lies between feathers and horsehair in its mild cushioning effect. It is also available as a purely herbal alternative. The maximum high air permeability and an optimal heat balance ensure the highest sleeping climate comfort. Due to their comparatively low weight, these cushions are very handy. Care: The seaweed fillings can be washed at up to 60° C, preferably transferred to a special washing net. As with wool, it can be washed by hand in a water bath. In the machine, the filling sometimes rolls into small balls due to the rotation, which should be plucked open again before drying. The filling dries best in the air and in the sun, but can also be dried in a tumble dryer. Please ensure complete drying. Danger: Seagrass should not be loosened up with force-intensive squeezing and shaking, as is usual with down or synthetic fiber pillows. In order to maintain the good moisture absorption and the pleasant feel of these plant-based grass fillings, we recommend opening the pillow with the zipper if necessary and loosening and plucking the filling with your hands. This is gentler and avoids breaking the fine grasses.
