This sterling silver anchor necklace is my tribute to the sea and to my water Star Sign: Pisces. Hand-forged using sterling silver wire, this pendant necklace is for all the sea lovers, and for those who feels like sailors that face the storms of life, to conquer quieter waters. This is the children song I had in my head while I was making this piece “The sailor went to sea sea sea, to see what he could see see see....”, and I'm pretty sure it will be in your head for quite some time now :-) Measures/Details - chain length 31.5 inches (80 cm) - anchor height 1.6 inches (4 cm) CARING FOR STERLING SILVER Sterling silver jewellery, if not worn for long periods of time, may develop a patina, which can be easily removed with a silver polishing cloth, available in all diy stores. If you want to “do it yourself”, here's a way: ***wet the silver piece in water, apply a small amount of fluoride toothpaste on the silver. Rub the toothpaste into the silver slowly, keeping it wet. Rub it until the toothpaste turns into a greysh dark colour. Let it sit for about 2 minutes. Wash away the toothpaste. The silver will show immediate improvement*** +++The oxidized black finish is not permanent.+++ It will naturally start to fade over time with wear and handling, enriching the piece with a unique antiqued finish.
