Khadi cotton is both hand spun and hand woven, resulting in a softer, finer fabric. Our throws are very soft, woven by a community of women in northern India. Khadi is made by hand in Indian homes, from a cotton, silk or wool thread spun on a wheel, or "charkha". It is woven with the greatest respect for the environment, using few resources such as water or electricity, and it is strong and resistant. Khadi is a unique Indian fabric, appreciated not only because it is entirely handmade, but also for its cultural significance.
