Poets, writers, musicians, singers, we have selected 4 men and 4 women who have marked our history. Mouloud Mammeri, born in 1917 in Ath Yenni and died in 1989 in Aïn Defla, is a writer, anthropologist, linguist specializing in Amazigh language and culture. His most famous works are La Colline oubliée and Le Sommeil du Juste. In 1980, it was the banning of one of his lectures on ancient Kabyle poetry at the University of Tizi Ouzou which was at the origin of the events of the Berber Spring.
