Hunan Dark Tea Fu Zhuan Cha

Dark Tea is a post-fermented tea similar to pu erh. 

There are a few types of dark tea from different provinces.

 Among them, Hunan Dark Tea is one of the most prominent types and Fuzhuan Cha is the most distinctive Hunan Dark Tea. 

The origin of Hunan dark tea - Fuzhuan Cha has close ties with the nomadic nationalities of the north and west Chinese territory. 

Today they are Mongolians, Tibetans and Uyghurs. 

The diet of these populations consists mainly of meat, milk and bread and is often deficient in plant foods and fibre. 

So they need the tea to help digest the oils and help provide fiber, vitamins and minerals. 

Tea is the necessity of their daily life. 

As a story goes, they can go three days without food, while they can't go one day without tea.
