Incredible details and exceptional shine The Tenmoku cup is a traditional tea cup from China. The Tenmoku style dates back to the 10th century and was taken up by Japanese Zen monks in the 14th century. The special feature of this cup is the natural appearance of patterns and colours which comes from the oxidation-reduction reaction. The “Floral” cup was given this name because it has floral patterns on the bottom of the cup that are often reminiscent of a peony bloom, and the flower petals have a relief effect resulting from the oxidation-reduction reaction.
