Tenmoku “Iridescence” Teacup

The Tenmoku cup is a traditional teacup from China. The Tenmoku style dates back to the 10th century and was taken up by Japanese Zen monks in the 14th century. The special feature of this cup is the natural appearance of patterns and colors which comes from the oxidation-reduction reaction.
