The Coconut Kitchen produces award winning, restaurant quality Thai curry pastes and sauces for retail & foodservice. Our aim is to help our customers make their ultimate Thai dish, easily and to never disappoint anyone's taste buds!
The Coconut Kitchen was born out of a desire to bring an authentic Thai taste to the UK. With our range, creating delicious, authentic Thai meals has never been so easy.

The range was all developed in from the mouth-watering recipes that we served at the beginning of this culinary journey in 2006 when The Coconut Kitchen restaurant first open its doors. The original co-founders Paul and Preechaya first started the business in a food truck in a caravan site in Abersoch, North Wales. It was a roaring success, proving that restaurant-quality Thai cuisine can be created anywhere.

THE RESTAURANT

For 11 years The Coconut Kitchen served up very happy, regular customers at the 40-seater seaside restaurant and won the coveted Best Oriental Restaurant Award at the Food Award Wales in 2 years running. Meanwhile, due to popular demand the chef’s began creating and bottling the stir-fry sauces and curry pastes so customers could their favourite dishes at home.
Using only the best quality, natural and authentic Thai ingredients, the sauces, as well as pastes, marinades and meal kits, became so popular they were soon selling out online and winning awards of their own.

CHANGE OF FOCUS

In 2018, the team decided to focus their energies on creating products to help everyone in the UK prepare delicious Thai food at home and so closed the doors to the restaurant for the last time. Now it was time to ramp up production of the retail sauces!

With nine Great Taste Awards already under their belt and many exciting new product launches on the way, The Coconut Kitchen is inspiring families throughout the UK and beyond to bring the taste of Thailand into their homes.
Preechaya is now building a new business in private Thai dining. Paul meanwhile, after spending 15 years on extended trips to Thailand and learning more about Thai food, Thai ingredients and Thai cooking than he ever dreamt of is leading The Coconut Kitchen brand. Focusing on developing new sauces and pastes and also finding and importing new Thai snacks and ingredients into the UK and Europe.
