Hello there, I'm The Grey Earl, also known as Jon. I make cards and gifts with a distinct sense of humour and illustrative style that appeal to both the young and old alike.
I began working as an illustrator way back in 2010 in the fair city of Glasgow, Scotland. Armed with a hefty collection of pencil crayons, I began creating characters and scenes for greetings cards. With content as varied as minature superheroes and Mexican wrestlers to talking fruit and vegetables and even Donald Trump, no subject matter was left unexplored!
It's not just greetings cards, I've made work and performed in children's theatre across the UK and am currently developing a range of children's picture books, coming to a book shop near you soon.
I've worked with some brilliant clients over the years, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Stirling University, Glasgow Museums and exhibited my illustrations at the National Gallery in Edinburgh.
I'm a big fan of this Earth, so all of my cards are printed on 100% recycled paper, designed and made right here in bonnie Scotland.
You can find my work in a range of incredible independent shops, galleries and museums across the UK.
