Our newest leather briefcase is rather special. It has a classic, slightly retro style and the buffalo leather gives it a strong look. This is a great everyday work bag and also good for travelling too. On the front, there are two pockets with buckles with a hidden push lock mechanism behind the buckles. Inside, a smart grey lining fabric complements the exterior and there are separate sections for your laptop, your stationery and more. There's also an extra zipped pocket on the back. The bag has a top handle and comes with a detachable adjustable shoulder strap, so you can sling it over your shoulder or across your body. These durable leather bags are entirely handmade by skilled artisans in Rajasthan, India. The buffalo leather is ethically sourced as a by-product of the meat industry. Using real leather means that you may find creases, small marks or blemishes on the bags and some small differences in colour from the bag shown, this is the natural character of leather and we really like the unique quality it gives to each bag. The exact lining fabric used may also vary slightly from the images but will stay in the same colour pallet and always complement the exterior of the bag. The leather is protected with natural oils to give it a lovely rich finish and make it hard-wearing. Our leather bags are intended to get even better with age; the leather will soften and the bumps and knocks they will get will mean more character - we love a bag that can tell a story of its travels! All of our buffalo leather products are ethically made by the incredibly talented artisans at Handicraft Villa in India. They conform to Fair Trade principles and are members of Sedex, one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, working to improve working conditions in global supply chains. They are currently working towards being a member of the Fair Trade Forum India. We visit and audit our producers twice a year to make sure they are following Fair Trade practices.
