The cotton is made by a charity that promotes women's development in rural areas of Rajasthan, India. Dimensions: 13.5 x 18.5 cm All of our leather journals are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. They have been expertly crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional methods and the pages have been bound by hand so they are strong and perfect for travelling. Each journal is handmade and contains approximately 125 pages of unlined khadda paper. Khadda paper is made from recycled cotton, is acid-free and is a beautiful paper to write or draw on. The paper is very easy to write on but does have a slight texture. We do not recommend using ink or fountain pens with this type of handmade paper; ballpoint or gel pen will work the best. The embossing on these journals has been done with love, care and individual small handmade tools, making each journal unique. Due to the handmade nature of this leather journal, the colour and the small details of the embossed pattern might not be the exactly the same as on the image but the 'Circular Celtic Cross' element of the design will be the same as shown. The leather is a by product of the meat industry and has been tanned by our suppliers using a natural dye. We are a Fair Trade company and regularly visit our suppliers to ensure the highest standards are met. We quality control all our products to ensure that you only receive the best products.
