Stunning handmade, fair trade and eco friendly leather covered notebook. The leather has been embossed by skilled local village crafts people. An ideal notebook for anyone who has a passion for writing, sketching, painting or just doodling. These journals have 125 pages of unlined handmade khadda paper, made from recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India. They are handmade and don’t contain any chemicals as we only use unbleached cotton. The paper is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women's social standing. For a more intrepid look, this journal has been stitched around the outside. Dimensions: 20.5 x 30 cm (A4) All of our leather-bound journals are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. The leather used is a by-product of the meat industry in India and is tanned using only natural dyes. They have been expertly crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional methods and the pages have been bound by hand so they are strong and perfect for travelling. The embossing on the cover has been done with small individual handmade tools, making each A4 journal as unique as you are. The paper used in these journals is handmade using recycled cotton (also known as khadda, kaddi or khaddi) leftover from the massive garment industry in India. It is acid-free because we only use unbleached cotton and it produces a beautiful paper, easy to write, draw or paint on. We don't recommend using a fountain pen with this type of handmade paper. Due to the handmade nature of these products, colour and designs may slightly vary, but loveliness comes as standard.
