Our gorgeous Fair Trade embossed leather notebooks are truly items of desire and make for a great diary, travel journal, inspiration book or notebook. Each notebook is handmade and contains 30 pages of unlined khadda paper. The embossed pattern might not be the same as on the image but will be just as lovely and carefully made. Dimensions: 16 x 11 cm The paper used in these notebooks is handmade using recycled cotton (also known as khadda, kaddi or khaddi) leftover from the massive garment industry in India. It is acid-free because we only use unbleached cotton and it produces a beautiful paper, easy to write, draw or paint on. We don't recommend using fountain pen with this type of handmade paper. The leather used is a by-product of the meat industry in India and is tanned using only natural dyes. The embossing on the covers has been done with small individual handmade tools making each album unique. Due to the handmade nature of these products colour and designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard. All the products in this range are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. The paper in all our journals and photo albums is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.
