Large Brown Vintage Leather Satchel

This vintage style leather satchel is a popular choice for work and college because there's plenty of room for a small laptop and notepad and a few more essentials. The bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap and a sturdy handle on the top, and the main bag and the outer pocket have wide straps and traditional metal buckle fastenings. The inside of the bag has been thoughtfully designed too. Under the flap there's a useful zipped compartment above the pocket while the interior has a zipped panel and there's a slim compartment each side (one with pen holders), leaving a large space for everything else. Dimensions: 38 x 28 x 10 cm (15 x 11 x 4 inches) All our leather bags are handmade from genuine goat leather from the desert state of Rajasthan in India. Using real leather means that you may find creases, small marks or blemishes on the bags and some small differences in colour from the bag shown, this is the natural character of leather. The leather is protected with natural oils to give it a lovely rich finish and make it hard-wearing. Our leather bags are intended to get even better with age, the leather will soften and the bumps and knocks they will get add more character - we love a bag that can tell a story of its travels! All of our buffalo leather products are ethically made by the incredibly talented artisans at Handicraft Villa in India. The goat leather is ethically sourced as a by-product from the meat industry. They conform to Fair Trade principles and are members of Sedex, one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, working to improve working conditions in global supply chains. They are currently working towards being a member of the Fair Trade Forum India. We visit and audit our producers twice a year to make sure they are following Fair Trade practices.
