Medium Sari Fabric Photo Album

Our colourful sari covered photo albums are the perfect place to keep your most treasured moments. Each one is filled with 30 pages of handmade khadda paper, acid-free and interleaved with tissue paper to protect and preserve your memories. The album can hold up to 120 6×4″ photos. The pages are plain to give you the freedom to fill them however you choose. Photos can be added using photo corners, spray mount or simple glue. This album is also perfect for use as a sketch or scrapbook. Expertly crafted using both contemporary and traditional methods, each one is bound by hand and sturdy enough to keep all your most treasured memories safe. The sari material comes from Varanasi, one of the most religious cities in the world and a centre of excellence for sari making. The beautiful sari material is handmade using man-made fibres because we are uncomfortable with the traditional methods used to make silk. The pages are created from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi). This sustainable material is crafted by hand from recycled cotton, salvaged from the huge waste of the Indian garment industry. Only unbleached cotton is used, ensuring the paper is acid-free. Lightly textured and luxuriously thick, it feels beautiful to write, draw, or paint on. While it’s perfect for ball-point pens, gel pens, or watercolours, we wouldn’t recommend it for use with fountain pens. Due to the handmade nature of our products each one is unique, but loveliness comes as standard. By buying this product you will be supporting the work of skilled artisans and craftspeople in Rajasthan, India. All the products in this range are made by a small family business in Rajasthan who we have worked with for many years following Fair Trade guidelines. We visit every year and we now know the producers and their families well and consider them true friends. We are proud that together we are able to provide people in rural villages fairly paid work that would have otherwise been difficult to find. We respect our producers and it is very important to us that we treat them fairly. We pay all our producers 50% upfront and send money to them whenever they need it and we never return anything, even if it’s damaged.
