These unique models made in our workshops in the South of France are inspired by the traditional herbarium method. Its botanical name Gypsophila paniculata comes from the Greek words gypsos meaning “gypsum” (calcium sulfate) and philos, “friend”. A poetic way of highlighting the flower’s preference for limestone soils. Gypsophila is a distant cousin of the carnation. In the language of flowers, it is synonymous with happiness, combining finesse, delicacy and magic. This herbaceous plant forms very branched round bushes and flourishes in Mediterranean regions, in very sunny locations.
