Organic Onion Jam

Organic onion jam made with onions planted on land in the Marjal dels Moros in Sagunt (Valencia), an environmental protection area. These lands are managed by the company of the union of llauradors: punt de gusto. Who tries to support small producers to market local and organic products. Oxfam Intermón and Punt de Sabor have joined forces to market organic fruits and vegetables, ensuring good remuneration for the people who work in the production chain. A part of the price of the jam is used to finance a training project in agricultural tasks for people who have recently arrived in Spain and have integration problems. In the preparation of this organic jam, organic and fair trade golden light sugar from the Manduvira cooperative is used, which has been imported directly from origin by Oxfam Intermón. Ideal to combine with red meat dishes, rice, stir-fries, and cheeses.
