Organic Shelled Hazelnuts

The hazelnut is the fruit of the hazelnut tree, the term also designates the seed (or almond) contained in this fruit and which is edible. Hazelnuts are generally grouped in small clusters called "trochets" formed of two or three fruits. It is also often used grated into powder, crushed, or cut into chips, in pastry and confectionery. An edible oil is also extracted from it.
