White Kampot Pepper

Composition: White Kampot pepper. This Pepper almost disappeared during the "Khmer Rouge" period, when its exploitation had been reduced to almost nothing for the profits of rice fields and intensive cultivation. Nevertheless, thanks to the obstinacy of some families of former planters supported by NGOs and fair trade entrepreneurs, Cambodian pepper is gradually regaining its former glory. The large production of lower quality pepper from neighboring countries has made its resurgence difficult, but amateurs are not mistaken: to its unique taste is brought a particularly careful drying and sorting of quality grains... letters of nobility recovered thanks to admirable and lasting work. A nod to Marc and all the local players in this fair trade success. The taste of this Pepper is very intense and sweet at the same time revealing floral notes of eucalyptus and fresh mint.
