One day, she discovered a purse made from a tractor inner tube… It was a turning point for her!
A year of research, questions, prototypes later...and this was the birth of URBAN RIVER in 2017.
Why this brand name?
URBAN for the urban side of rubber, because he swallowed kilometers of it before arriving in his workshop to live its second life...
RIVER for the nod to the preservation of nature which is close to his heart, thanks to the reduction of waste by working with this rubber and other collected materials intended for incineration without collection.
In a responsible approach, Dana collects inner tubes from agricultural and bicycle repair companies, and tarpaulins such as inflatable camping mattresses, tent canvases, kayaks, etc. in a major sports brand.
She upcycles (upcycles) these materials to create trendy bags, jewelry and accessories. She makes each piece by hand in her workshop near Rennes in France. Each model is unique! Materials to discover for their style, flexibility, solidity and lightness.
