Valconie (the Conie valley in Eure-et-Loir) was created to promote our production of French pumpkin seeds. Farmer (Solenne) and son of a farmer (Rémi), we have decided to differentiate ourselves in order to achieve our ambitions: to produce healthy seeds, without phytosanitary products and above all with all our love.
Our choice was immediately oriented on the pumpkin seed: a seed rich in vegetable proteins which provide nutrients essential to life (iron, zinc, magnesium, OMEGA) and a unique seed by an almost non-existent French production. It is suitable for the whole family and all types of diet since it is naturally gluten-free.
We sow the seeds in May, irrigate them in the summer and harvest them in October.
Once washed, brushed, dried, sorted, calibrated, we roast some of them and finally we put them in bags. The smallest seeds are pressed to obtain fine and subtle oil. The pulp when it is left in the field during the harvest to serve as fertilizer for the next crop, in short, 0 waste.
