Van Buren Bolsward B.V. is a sheepskin tannery, as well as a manufacturer and supplier of animal home decoration, fashion accessories and health products. Van Buren was founded in 1861 by Sjoerd van Buren and started as a hide / wool trader and skin stripping company. From 1969, Van Buren became a tannery and concentrated on making end products, such as sheepskins and wool / leather products. Jolt van Buren, sixth generation of Buren, has joined the company since 2003 and Van Buren is still under his leadership to this day. Through a combination of old and young, Van Buren has been successful for over 160 years in processing coats and hides into beautiful end products that create a bit of cosiness, comfort and health.
