Variorum (meaning 'decoration' in old Shetland dialect) is a homeware and gift brand based in Scotland. The designer and owner, Helen, comes from the Shetland Islands in the middle of the North Sea, but set up her brand Variorum in a small studio in the Scottish Borders. These designs are all based on her roots in the islands, as well as the wildlife and landscape that can be found all over Scotland. The idea behind the designs is to bring the outdoors in, remind people how beautiful their country is and allow visitors to take momentos back to their own homes to remind them of a favourite trip.
