The History of the Malleville Orchards
The Malleville Orchards are part of a long family farming tradition. Since 1882, six generations have succeeded one another in cultivating these lands located on the watershed between the Sarthe and Loir rivers. This unique terroir, composed of clay-loam soils, offers a precious natural balance: agronomic richness, suitable water reserve and quality potential for demanding productions. 
In 2024, a new chapter begins with the arrival of Antoine Juvin, an agricultural engineer. After ten years dedicated to developing biodiversity in urban areas through the company Cultures en Ville, which he founded after completing his studies, Antoine chose to return to his roots. Drawing on his experience in urban agriculture and applied ecology, he decided to settle on the family land to combine agricultural heritage and environmental innovation. 
Rooted and forward-looking agriculture
Les Vergers de Malleville is committed to a soil conservation approach, with a clear objective: to preserve and regenerate the natural fertility of the land while ensuring high-quality production. The farm is currently undergoing HVE (High Environmental Value) level 3 certification, the highest level of this certification, demonstrating concrete commitments to the environment. 
Strong commitments to biodiversity
The protection and development of biodiversity are at the heart of the project. Several structural actions have been implemented:
Planting hedges to recreate ecological corridors, encourage beneficial wildlife, and protect crops from wind and erosion. 
Setting up agroforestry trial plots, allowing orchards and crops to be combined to improve the resilience of agricultural systems, enrich soils and diversify natural habitats. 
These initiatives aim to recreate a living, balanced and sustainable agricultural ecosystem. 
From the land to the plate
At Vergers de Malleville, the approach goes from the land to the plate. The objective is twofold: to guarantee total transparency on agricultural practices and to optimize the economic model to ensure the sustainability of the operation. Each step – from soil preparation to the finished product – is designed with quality, consistency and responsibility in mind.
