The Virgen de la Poveda Cooperative Winery was founded in 1963 and is part of D.Z. Wines from
Madrid. Our facilities and vineyards are located in the town of Villa del Prado, 50 kilometers from Madrid. With more than 800 hectares of production, it is considered one of the largest wineries in the Community of Madrid, both in terms of production and its facilities. Its vineyards range from 420 to 880 m above sea level between the foothills of the Gredos and Guadarrama mountain ranges. Most of its strains are of the Garnacha Tinta variety grown in bush vines over 60 years old. Our multi-award-winning Aceña wine is made from a select blend of Tempranillo, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet.
