WINERY
Germany's largest wine-growing region is located in southwest Germany, on the Rhine: Rheinhessen. The old wine village of Dolgesheim is right in the middle.
TRADITION
Wine has been made from grapes in Dolgesheim for more than 1200 years.
FLOORS
The vineyard soils range from light, sandy loam soils to limestone marl to heavy, humus-rich loess soils with an ideally high lime content.
VINEYARDS
In 2007 the winery was converted to ecological management. The winery is a member of Naturland and is also certified as a Naturland FAIR operation.
WINE EXPANSION
The harvest quantities are between 35hl and 70hl per hectare. The wines are made with little movement and sometimes fermented spontaneously. The red wines are marketed after a long aging period.
