Well Read Company is a celebration of literature and reading. We hope to enable our customers to express themselves through their favourite books by creating light, practical and desirable accessories that will endure changing fashion trends. Well Read Company was founded in 2019 in Oxford, UK. Initially, we designed Well Read products for our in-store customers in the literary strongholds of Oxford and Cambridge. The earliest prototypes were loosely inspired by bookbinding techniques and made on a domestic sewing machine at home (see the photo)! Fast-forward two years and one global pandemic, we have now shipped to customers all over the world! Our passion to share beautifully made literary products meant we were able to persevere through the professional problems the pandemic presented. Most importantly, we have been able to endure and grow due to our lovely customers who have continued shopping and chatting with us throughout 2020 and 2021. Thanks to them, we have been blessed with an amazing and rewarding first year!
