The first book is called Duffy's Lucky Escape and is based on the true
story of a turtle who was rescued, rehabilitated and released after
ingesting plastic from the oceans. The second book is called Marli's
Tangled Tale about a puffin who gets tangled in a balloon from a balloon
release, the third book Nelson’s Dangerous Dive about a whale who gets
trapped in fishing nets, a fourth book, Buddy’s Rainforest Rescue is about
an orangutan and palm oil, a fifth book, Hunter's Icy Adventure about polar
bears and climate change and my latest book, Sunny’s Blazing Battle about
koalas, bushfires and climate change, with a new book about bees and
habitat loss due out next month.



As you well know there is a huge growing national and international
consciousness about the importance of protecting our environment and it is
important to teach children about these global issues without overwhelming
them or shocking them with images of plastic in animals' stomachs or
