Kappa Menko - Vinyl Sticker

This illustration is inspired by menko cards, an ancient Japanese game similar to the Pog game. The cards, made of more or less thick cardboard, were usually illustrated with characters from manga / TV series / movies, or sportsmen (mainly baseball and sumo players). On this menko we can see Kyûka, one of our original characters. It is a kappa (Japanese folklore creature) and its name comes from the English word “cucumber” (which is pronounced “kyûkanba” when written in katakana キューカンバー) because kappas love cucumbers.
