Touria, the president of the local women's cooperative , welcomed us into the heart of their workshop. It is an artisanal realization of the Berber women of Morocco, specialized since the dawn of time in this type of work. Once the shearing is done, they take care of everything, from weaving the wool, to making the carpet in a loom at home or in a cooperative. It takes a little over a month to make this rug. Through it, you offer a story, that of a real ancestral know-how transmitted from generation to generation. Wool is a noble material par excellence and this natural textile fiber is durable, insulating, breathable and recyclable. We are proud to work in a short circuit with artisans. Collaborating directly with women's cooperatives allows them to earn more than going through a wholesaler. Touria, the president of the cooperative and her team thus earn 33% of the displayed price.
