The Trujal Hacienda Ortigosa, based in Viana (Navarra), was founded in 2005 and has an annual production of 300,000 liters of monovarietal oil, of the Arbequina variety, and a storage capacity of 1,200,000 litres.
The organoleptic properties of Arbequina oil qualify it for consumption raw, as well as in stews and fried foods.
The origin of our extra virgin olive oil Hacienda Ortigosa, is found in the fields of olive trees cared for by expert olive growers who point out their good work of generations, for the collection of olives at the optimum moment of maturation.
Fruity, fresh olive, green when it comes from a first harvest, yellowish-green in color, dense, full-bodied, with a clean aroma of grass and leaves. As the olive matures, the oil transforms its color to a more yellowish tone, with a slightly softer and sweeter taste.
The oil of the Arbequina variety is very similar to that of other varieties that are produced in coastal regions of the Mediterranean.
Its flavor, like its aroma, are unmistakable. An oil for lovers of exotic and sensory flavors. It has an almond flavor, very sweet and pleasant, without leaving bitterness or itching. Its aroma is reminiscent of wild fruits and orchard fruits
