Wax cushion - Swirl

Cushion in wax and appliqué. These cushions are sewn by hand in a raw cotton canvas, from cotton growing in Benin. Called "ecru", this canvas raw is soft and unbleached. The material softens and acquires a patina with time. It will nicely decorate a space for children, a dining room or living room with fantasy and exoticism. We love working with this material and this time we worked with my mother on a small collection of cushions decorative with an applied waxed cotton fabric called "wax" or "ankara fabric", which represents some facets of the culture of the ancient kingdom of Dahomey (now Benin) as (the chameleon, the spinning wheel, the Recamier). All these patterns come from the culture popular West African. Dimensions: 45 x 45cm tab closure - Machine wash at 30°C or hand wash; not machine drying. Work done entirely by hand.
