Shooting for the Stars

The Greek astronomer Ptolemy wrote around 150 AD that the gods occasionally came to earth. This descent would cause a star to shift, which caused it to fall. According to the Greeks, the fall of the star was proof that the Gods were close to the earth. In other words, an ideal moment to make a wish. Although we have known for a long time that shooting stars have nothing to do with real stars, it is best to look up every now and then and make a wish.
