Tales from West Africa

Four traditional Wolof, Mandinka and Fulani tales, unpublished, revisited and set to music. Elsa and Amala Valentin content with two soft, warm voices, full of emotion and interpret the little songs of each of the stories. The setting to sounds (insects, monkeys, birds, jungle) and music (valiha, doun-doun, djembe, balafon and mini-guitar) transports us to Africa, where we walk alongside African girls and women, sensitive, courageous and particularly determined. 1. Abiba, Wolof tale Every day, little Abiba took her sheep to graze on the grass by the river. One day, he spoke to her to warn her of the threat hanging over her. 2.
