Fileja di Tropea is one of the best-known traditional pasta shapes in Calabria. These are macaroni with an elongated and rolled shape, produced in the province of Vibo, and particularly in Tropea, hence the name "Fileja di Tropea". In this chilli pepper version, Fileja is enriched by the natural aroma of Calabrian chilli pepper added to the mixture, for a spicy note that is pleasant on the palate! All Valle del Crati durum wheat semolina pasta is handcrafted using only selected Italian grains; it is bronze drawn and dried at low temperatures, so as to maintain a high content of proteins and nutrients. Uses in the kitchen Simply appetizing with a tomato and fresh basil sauce with a sprinkling of grated pecorino, for a first course full of Mediterranean flavours! It can also be accompanied with white sauces based on vegetables, such as courgettes and aubergines, or pestos based on ricotta, vegetables and dried fruit. Tips for perfect cooking Use 6 liters of water per 500 g Add salt and when the water boils, pour in the pasta. Stir occasionally. Once cooked, drain and season to taste. Cooking time: 10-12 min.
