Don R*** - Rum (ORGANIC) - 70cl

On our own behalf An Italian winery sees a risk of confusion due to the naming of our rum. Therefore, the product can only be purchased in a modified packaging. Idea Since the lively trade relations between the Hanseatic cities and the Caribbean in the 18th century, Since the 19th century, rum has enjoyed great popularity in northern Germany. But a genuine rum from the far north of Germany has not been available for a very long time. The fine spirits manufacturer Feingeisterei, run by the Rohrwasser family, is changing this with its new product: at Gut Basthorst, around 30 kilometers from the gates of Hamburg, the Don R*** rum is distilled, stored and bottled. The premium spirit is named after the owner of Gut Basthorst, Enno Freiherr von Ruffin. Production and storage Distiller Fabian Rohrwasser processes the molasses imported from South America for the Don R*** rum in a wood-fired copper still. Only the highest quality part of the distillate, the middle run, is stored in wooden barrels made of American and French oak and, for the finish, in a sherry cask. Small barrels ensure a quick and intensive maturation process. The amber-colored Triple Wood Rum has an alcohol content of 43.0% vol. The bottles are individually numbered and hand signed.  Expertise Two different types of wood give the Don R*** rum a versatile character: The American oak provides fine-bodied aromas of vanilla, crème brûlée and caramelized almonds. The French oak is responsible for the underlying complexity, which is characterized by subtle tobacco notes. The fruitiness of the molasses, preserved through gentle aromatic production, is accentuated by the sherry cask finish with a palate-flattering sweetness. The 100 percent organic certified Don R*** rum is opulent on the nose and powerful on the palate.
