Product information Salty product. Our pesto comes from the union of two dried fruits: pistachio and almond. The almond is the fruit of the almond tree with an ovoid drupe shape, sometimes covered by hair; the shell is woody and porous, containing the seed inside covered by a thin smooth or wrinkled film. It is used a lot in Mediterranean cuisines as it is a typical fruit of the area. Pistachio, on the other hand, has been cultivated since prehistoric times; it is a very long-lived tree that can live for more than 300 years as it is resistant to drought and adverse temperatures. The fruit is a drupe inside a thin and hard shell, commonly called "pistachio" which has a bright green color under a purple peel, also for this reason it is also called Green Gold. Our almond and pistachio pesto is excellent as a condiment for pasta. COMPOSITION: Almond 25%, pistachio 25%, sunflower seed oil, salt and pepper.
