Since the active ingredients distribute themselves through the skin sebum, you should ideally bathe your dog 1-2 days beforehand and refrain from washing for at least 2-3 days after application. </p> <p><strong>When does the effect occur?</strong><br> How quickly the active ingredients are distributed through the skin sebum depends on individual factors. On average, the effect occurs promptly, so that your dog receives full protection after 1-2 days.</p> <p><strong>Can my dog bathe with the Zpot-on?</strong><br> The Zpot-on is not waterproof, which has the advantage that it doesn't stick to the coat with oil, but also means that it is washed off when you bathe your dog (or he bathes himself). Since the active ingredients distribute themselves through the skin sebum, it is better to bathe your dog 1-2 days beforehand and avoid washing for at least 2-3 days after application. If he only walks through a stream up to his groin afterwards and doesn't swim for half an hour, that doesn't affect the effect too much. If your dog has been in contact with water for a longer period of time, or has been in contact with soap for a short time, you should reapply the Zpot-on, even if the interval is shorter than 12 days.
