 The rattan used is processed untreated.   The result is a pleasantly light color that fits harmoniously into any living environment.   Jemuh is available in two sizes (tall and narrow respectively.   low and wide). -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Mass weight: (Height (without handles) x diameter) Low: 27x42 cm; 1.20kg High: 43x39 cm; 1.20kg Our products are artfully crafted unique pieces.   Due to hand manufacturing and natural variations in materials, they may vary slightly in size, color and shape. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Main material: rattan Our baskets are made from plant fibers.   They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.    Rattan palms usually grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants that take up space from other plants and draw a lot of nutrients from the soil.   The stems, which grow back quickly without any chemical aids, must be cut off regularly and can then be used as material for furniture and baskets after the drying process.   This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and abundant material. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Place of production: This basket is handmade in Java, Indonesia.   When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions.   Only adult and experienced artisans work in the companies from which we purchase our goods.   No harmful chemicals are used during production.   Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process hardly produces any greenhouse gas emissions.   We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
