ACACIA HONEY 1 Kg

The Oltresole acacia honey is an Italian artisanal product obtained from the robinia pseudoacacia plant belonging to the mimosaceae family and for this reason it is also found under the name of locust honey. It is from its flowers when they are pollinated by bees that this type of honey with a vaguely floral scent and sweet taste is obtained. It has a very light straw yellow color, almost transparent, soft and delicate. Oltresole acacia honey is harvested on warm spring days and gives all the floral scent of this season. Lavender vanilla and acacia flowers ensure sweetness and all the flavor of nature. Excellent to consume during breakfast but also to accompany salads and cheeses. PAIRING: Perfect with a platter of cheeses with an intense flavor with a hint of spicy such as Gorgonzola Provolone and Pecorino Romano or to flavor grilled vegetables, meat and fish. For breakfast or for a snack between meals, it is an excellent sweetener for yogurt. WELLNESS AND HEALTH: Acacia honey contains beneficial substances useful for the treatment of disorders mainly related to the respiratory system. It is a sweetener with a great natural energizing energy power for the nervous system. Its high digestibility and the content of proteins, vitamins, minerals and amino acids also makes it an appreciated tonic. It can also be used by those suffering from diabetes as its sugar content is largely due to fructose and therefore does not require insulin for its metabolization. Finally, it is a valuable aid against stomach acid and for the well-being of the digestive system. FUN FACT: due to the hard texture of its wood, the acacia tree is considered a symbol of perenniality and therefore of eternal life. In Egyptian culture this tree had a divine value: in fact, so the legend of the cult of Osiris tells: after it was killed and torn to pieces by his brother Seth his wife-sister Isis began to search for the body of the beloved and once he managed to find the missing limbs and put them back together in an acacia wood coffin to bring him back to life. In fact, acacia was a symbol of rebirth to new life. All the sacred fires were made by burning acacia wood and always with the same wood the pyres were created on which the bodies of kings and priests were cremated. Finally, the acacia leaf was chosen by Freemasonry as its symbol for these characteristics: strong and delicate, it does not undergo seasonal changes but is continually renewed.
