8000kicks is the 1st ever waterproof hemp shoe brand. It was designed and engineered in Portugal to achieve the most sustainable, durable and comfortable sneaker ever built. Minimalist, yet stylish enough to fit every occasion, indoors or outdoors.
It all started in Portugal 2 years ago, when Bernardo and his grandma Otilia joined forces to disrupt the shoe industry and since then they have already sold out of shoes 4 times.
Hemp started being farmed in today's Taiwan in 8000 BC and it is not only waterproof and sustainable, but it is also super durable. It was used by Henry Ford himself to build cars as well as by sailors to build ropes and ship sales.
After being banned for over 50 years, and mistakenly labeled as a drug, hemp is now 100% legal and we want to bring it back to everyone's daily wear.
