That's my name and I created Aesencia after an intensive course on the Potter's Wheel at El Torn Barcelona.
During that weekend with Corrie Bain, making pieces on the lathe, I was caught up in the feeling of creating out of nothing, seeing how a small gesture can change everything, made me want to take that course of my life.
And so it began, an instagram dedicated to the pieces I was making helped me, not only to verify what I already knew, but to surprise me day by day.
I remember that at the beginning I was passionate about everything I saw coming out of the oven, with the months I began to be stricter and create more similar pieces and after that stage of "serial" production I realized that this was not the objective for which I which I fell in love with this art; My goal was to create unique and unrepeatable pieces so that each home, each person, has their elements and only theirs.
That is why I went back to making different pieces, pieces that were only in one home.
After continuing to work with this material, I have discovered the essence of AESENCIA:
Representing through ceramics the female variations and how they continually evolve in each one of us.
That is why each piece is created individually, representing in each one of them, the feminine energy in a tangible way.
An energy, a power and a strength that each of us, in a unique and special way, have.
