Agatha Ruiz de la Prada began working at the age of 20 as an assistant in the Madrid studio of the fashion designer Pepe Rubio. A year later, he made his first parade at a design center in Madrid and participated in a collective parade at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid. Just a year after this, Agatha opened her first store and exhibited Painted Suits.

“My design is conceptual. If we eliminate everything superfluous, we come to the conclusion that fashion has to be comfortable: comfortable for the body and for the mind, comfortable for those who wear it and look at it, and comfortable to manufacture and destroy”, says Agatha Ruiz de la Prada .

Apart from creating clothing lines, he entered the business of shoes, perfumes, watches, ceramic coatings, home clothes, stationery and decorated furniture, theatrical costumes, clothes for dolls, uniforms, stockings, glasses, upholstery, costumes, ornaments. for the kitchen (coasters with special designs, among others) and even labels for wine bottles. He has published his own books, designed book and album covers.

During the 1980s in Spain, at the height of "Movida madrileña", Agatha Ruiz de la Prada became one of the most important promoters of the movement and since then she has remained very active in the country's cultural and artistic scene.

Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada began licensing her brand in 1991 and currently works with more than 50 licensees. It has expanded its range of products from women's clothing to furniture, armored doors, motorcycle helmets, books, pet accessories, lingerie, cosmetics, tableware, bags, jewelry, wedding dresses, mobile phones, lamps and boat sails, among others. products.9 His fashion firm also sells perfumes, in collaboration with the Spanish perfume company Puig.

The main elements that predominate and characterize their designs are hearts, stripes, strident colors, stars, dots and game.
